Role Overview
The Fullstack Engineer will join the Product & Engineering team to design and build internal and client-facing platforms. This role requires strong product ownership, rapid execution, and the ability to deliver features end-to-end.
Engineers at Hugo are expected to be AI-native builders who understand business context and actively shape product direction.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build full-stack applications supporting CX and operations
Own features from concept to deployment
Develop backend services using Node.js and Express
Build modern frontend interfaces using React
Design APIs and system integrations
Collaborate with product on solution design
Integrate with CRM, helpdesk, and workforce platforms
Implement analytics dashboards and reporting tools
Optimize application performance and scalability
Rapidly prototype new ideas and internal tools
Key Responsibilities
Design scalable backend services
Build reusable frontend components
Develop integration middleware
Implement authentication and authorization
Support real-time features where required
Write maintainable and testable code
Participate in architecture discussions
Support production releases
Qualifications & Experience
4+ years fullstack development experience
Strong Node.js and Express expertise
Strong React experience
Experience designing REST APIs
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
Understanding of scalable architecture
Experience integrating third-party APIs
AI-Native Expectations
Comfort using AI coding assistants and copilots
Experience building AI-powered features is a plus
Interest in LLM-based workflows and automation
Ability to rapidly prototype using AI tooling
Nice to Have
TypeScript experience
Experience building internal tools
Experience with real-time systems
Cloud platform exposure
Analytics dashboard experience
