Community Engagement Associate

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Community Engagement Associate will play a key role in keeping the Talent Hub community informed, engaged, and motivated — ensuring that candidates in the pipeline remain connected to Hugo’s mission while waiting for deployment.
The ideal candidate is a creative communicator and digital community builder who can design and execute engaging experiences — including gamified activities, quizzes, surveys, and simulations — that make participation rewarding and build a strong sense of belonging within the Hugo community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Communication and Community Management
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for the Talent Hub community, maintaining active, transparent, and timely communication
- Draft and send regular updates, announcements, newsletters, and event invitations across approved channels
- Maintain a community calendar of activities, ensuring a consistent flow of engagement and information
- Support the creation of FAQs, onboarding communications, and periodic updates on sourcing or assessment processes.
2. Engagement Activities and Campaigns
- Design and run gamified challenges, quizzes, and learning simulations that reinforce Hugo’s values and keeps members engaged.
- Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person community activities (e.g., info sessions, competitions).
- Collaborate with the sourcing and assessments team to ensure engagement activities align with candidate readiness objectives.
- Monitor participation data and feedback to improve future programs.
3. Feedback, Insights, and Continuous Improvement
- Maintain data quality standards through routine validation, cleaning, and documentation.
- Conduct community pulse surveys to understand sentiment and satisfaction.
- Track engagement metrics (e.g., activity participation, response rates etc.) and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
- Provide actionable insights to the team to enhance communication and engagement strategy.
4. Content and Creative Collaboration
- Work with the marketing team to develop engaging visual and written content for the community.

- Suggest and create creative materials such as posts, infographics, polls, and interactive simulations that support engagement goals.
- Manage basic content publishing within community platforms (e.g., email, Google Groups, or internal portals).
5. In-person Activity Support
- Assist in the planning and coordination of Talent Hub events such as upskilling in-person day.
- Support logistics, registration, communications, and post-event feedback collation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Psychology, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in community management, communications, or talent engagement roles.
- Demonstrated ability to organize engaging campaigns or interactive activities.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proficient with communication tools such as Mailchimp, Google Workspace, WhatsApp Broadcast, or Slack communities.
- Creative mindset with attention to tone, aesthetics, and audience engagement.
- Basic data analysis or reporting experience is an advantage.
